I've got a Nexus 5X, you've got questions. Let's do this!

Maybe this has already been asked and answered in all the pages of this post but here goes:

What is a good car charger for the Nexus 5X that will not fry it?

From what I've read, none are likely to "fry" your Nexus 5x and none are likely to "fast charge" your Nexus 5x. When my adapters get here I'll be using my old car charger with the USB micro to USB C adapter.

I'd like to buy 5X, but I have read something about touchscreen bug when charging with original fastcharge adapter. Is it really a problem or just one malfunctioning device?
No problems here. I've had my 5x for about 3 weeks now.

I'm using one of the new Transmort car chargers and have been quite happy, I've had it since the beginning of the year. It has worked well, including fast charging my phone (USB-C port is 5V/3A as per the standard).

Before someone brings it up, Transmort did have a car charger in November of last year that did not meet USB C standards (it was one with a built in USB-C cable). That discontinued that one at the end of last year, the new one is also available on Amazon and meets USB C standards (including Benson Leung approved). I prefer the one without a cable but can understand that some people prefer it built in, since they wouldn't need to buy an extra cable, as well.

I just N on my Nexus 5x and I'm losing only getting about 7 hours a day of battery life a day. What am I doing wrong??

Since I installed nougat, Android OS eat my battery. I have for example, 15 % display ( about max 2 hours SoT) and 10-12 % Android OS. With 6.0.1
i didnt have this problem.

Nexus 5X or Redmi Note 3 Pro??
I'd lean toward the 5x but it depends on personal preference. Go with the 5x if you want a better camera, USB type C and like unadulterated Android and getting timely updates. The 5x is also great if you like flashing ROMs. Get the Note 3 Pro if you just want better specs.

I downloaded light flow and it confused the hell out of me. I said screw it and uninstalled it lol

Been there. Way back on BlackBerry OS 6 and 7 I used the BlackBerry version of this app. It was a piece of cake. Tried Light Flow a while back around the Kit Kat era and it was a mess from the start. Hated it. 10 minutes in I scrapped it.

does the notification led witch off when screen turn on and light back when screen is off? weired

Guys i read the battery thats is not so good. Specially compared to the phones of 2016...
So i know speaking, web browsing and videos kill the battery fast.

But when its idle with Doze on ?
Or when on plane Mode ?
Does it drain a lot ? (more than 3% per night on plane mode for exemple ?)

i can cope with an average battery but i hate it when the phone loses a lot of battery with no particular reason

Tell me please and if your positive ill take this one as the successor of my beloved nokia 735... :-)

Hey all, so i did have a nexus 5, but it slowly died. Had it for 2 years was an awesome phone. Anyway in late September bought an Iphone 5c, all i have to say is it is the worst $250 i've ever spent and its already running slow, i press one spot in the screen and it goes to somehwere else and it lags in simple games like candy crush. Only advantage it has is smooth filming and crisp photos in snapchat. So i'm going to buy a new phone, and go back to android.

The 5x has caught my eye, but i have seen people saying the battery life is utter crap and that some phones have 'died' from the new updates? can someone confirm this? Possibly the battery can't be worse than my 5c, which lasts 1 1/2 hours with non-stop use. What other options should i consider around the $350-400 AUD mark beisdes the 5x? I really love the pure android experience, what other phones supply this?
