I've got an AT&T S6---Ask Me Anything

Agreed, although I believe the issue is a little deeper than just the WiFi calling.

I don't since I disabled wifi calling and it stopped. Unless it is strictly to wifi being on -- since I don't use wifi when out and about.

I also got better standby and battery results after I turned off Wifi calling. I also turned off VoLTE too.

No, I agree, but I've seen a lot of people who've said it didn't fix it. I've seen your results since and definitely agree there's an improvement.

I see on the edge Forums someone on AT&T ran into the cell standby issue. Not as bad but it was there... So maybe it's a wifi issue? 5.1 may address it.

I would contact your carrier.

I'm starting to wonder how many of these people just have spotty service and aren't disclosing that.

So maybe i am just blind right now but why cant i turn off the ripple effect when unlocking the phone?

That can be an effect but not as much as cell standby is causing for most. For people like me on T-Mobile is supposed to use my wifi and the cell just goes idle when using wifi calling.

Especially since these people most likely had other phones and didn't have a huge drain on cell standby. I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the many bugs squashed in 5.1 - - my buddy at work told me the Nexus 6 had some issues similar to this before they got the update.

If you registered your phone with Samsung (Validated or created a Samsung account) you can go to your Account at Samsung, and you will see your registered devices, if you click any of those you'll have your Full IMEI (if by any chance you can't see the Full IMEI, click on Remove Product option and it will bring you all the Information, don't worry as it won't remove it until you confirm it).

It may also be possible that you may have activated the Samsung Locator Services and you can Locate, Lock and erase your phone remotely. https://findmymobile.samsung.com.

I'm sorry for your situation but how in the world would someone on the Internet be able to help come up with your IMEI number if the carrier can't?

We are unable to find your IMEI number. Your carrier has this on file (they know what IMEI's are on their network). If you report it stole then can kill the IMEI so the phone can't be used on any network.

Re: I've got an AT&T S6---Ask Me Anything

I would definitely contact your carrier. You can report it stolen even without the imei.

If you set up Android device manager, you can track It that way.

also, if your phone is signed into your google account you can track, erase, and lock the phone through Android Device Manager.

Yeah, I just mentioned the Samsung option as he was looking for the IMEI of his phone, but both can do basically the same.

True in this case the Samsung option may be more helpful to him. I was just throwing it out there in case, like me, he didn't create a samsung account.
