I've installed sim card but no service (no calls, no messages)

my Galaxy s4 had problems with mounting /efs it said that "cant mount /efs" or something like that. I've found solution to fix it but now when I inserted my sim card it says "no service/emergency calls only" and I really wish to know how to fix it. I've tried "*#*#4636#*#*" with the turning off radio but I cant find that switch button. please somebody help me

Evidently you didn't fix the efs problem. Bring the phone to your carrier for assistance, but I'm afraid that they''ll tell you what I already suspect - that it's a hardware problem. You can replace the motherboard, but that wouldn't pay on an S4 - gently used ones are about $70, a new motherboard plus labor could easily cost more than twice that.
