I believe it comes down to who is handling order fulfilment. Verizon is taking care of their customers directly, whereas HTC is relying on Digital River to get the phones shipped. The same Digital River who utterly botched the Vive launch a few weeks back.

Like ordering directly from Verizon versus HTC?

I would assume the OP ordered through the carrier they will always have it lower than the manufacturer how else do people get GS7E for less than folks are paying for the HTC 10 because they got the carrier version vs paying the unlocked cost of 800 plus dollars for the same phone that they got for 600.00 just my opinion unless he or she got a HTC employee discount.

I'm not Hemlocke but I know how he got his for that price it's the same way I got it for $520 shipped and my other buddy got it for $507. You're wrong on both the carrier version and employee discount though. Ordered directly from HTC, unlocked version.

I agree that it doesn't seem fair for us who pre ordered on 12 but 5th is only 3 more days. Fine for me but I think HTC should post the shipping date except Early May..

I don't care when it ships but they have to be fair in dealing with customers. We have people waiting from the 12th April and Verizon customers can order on the 29th and get shipment for the 5th May. I tempted to get a nexus 6p for $499

I am still getting the same error too. After spending 30+ minutes on the phone with their support one day I just gave up and started pulling my hair out...it was less painful.

Nope. You will have it Monday if they ship Friday.
