Mine has said building since a few hours after placing the order. Today I got an e-mail that it's being assembled.

Yup mines been stuck in the Device Being Built spot for days .
Got an email about an hour ago that it is being assembled.
But in the graph still in Device Being Built spot.
Sounds like the same thing to me . ha

I wouldn't discount the order number, but the other options (wood/leather/size) also change things up.

I have a pretty low order number, but I went with Ash back/Metallic Royal Blue trim. One would assume that most people are going to a fairly stock build and those would be ready to go first.

My guess is we are going to see prolonged delivery times, the further out ordered and the "assembly/build" stage is far too generic in it's scope of time. Folks should probably not be surprised if the order quickly went to assembly/build and sits for a few weeks. There has to be some crazy bottlenecks in such a custom process that would impact even a basic designed order. I am not holding my breath for the 9/18 delivery date.

A positive is during the wait, there should be some very entertaining and varied reports on the device- especially battery life. I love battery threads, since find the subjectivity being treated as objectivity funny stuff

So I contacted support and they said "As I checked here you ordered a customize Moto X Pure Edition. Upon checking here what I can see the schedule ship date is 09/09/2015 and the expected delivery date will be 09/15/2015. Motorola will ensure you will receive the device on time! :. They couldn't give me an update on if it was being built or not. Guess I'll just have to wait.

That sounds about right. I was told a ship date of 9/11 and my order status shows receiving it on 9/17. Now, I'm hoping I get it far sooner than the 17th if it is indeed shipped on 9/11

It's pathetic. I chatted with someone who has no idea. Basically told me what the email said - Ordered on 9/2, estimated ship date 9/16, estimated delivery date 9/22.

Blah....

Yes, the 15th. I was spamming the refresh on motomaker when it was supposed to open, and had already picked my colors and logged in to the site and entered my payment info and stuff. It took me 3 minutes to select my stuff and press purchase.

I ordered on 9/5 and the expected delivery date is 9/18 (all black 64GB with gray trim). I think 9/18 date is opportunistic considering the dates others have been given and ordered earlier. Hope your is earlier

I ordered two devices on 9/2 and have a 9/18 expected delivery date. Sadly, I have a feeling that will be the actual expected date. <sigh>
