Is the camera button dual-stage? Meaning half press focus, and full press takes the shot (like the Evo 3D and any other basic point and shoot camera)?

I forgot all about the button, so idk about his, but the released version will.

I had the og Evo then moved on to the mopho. I love the build quality of the mopho. I had a ton of hardware issues eg camera crapped out, multiple speaker issues like not working and low volume, screen uneven and general feeling of a cheap phone. Is the build quality up to par with Moto?

Hey Phil, does the new EVO re-scale or re-size text and web pages to fit the screen like the old EVO? If so then that's a DEAL-MAKER! With that SLCD2 screen, it sounds like a winner. It should be easy to read, no left/right finger scrolling or over 40 eye squinting, it's surely a winner. Well that's good, apparently there's a new phone, available soon, that should do stuff your iPhone and other phones won't do because Apple and others won't pay for licensing. Does it have the FM radio built in still?

I know this is probably wishful thinking, but does anyone know if you can use pattern unlock WITHOUT having to do the freakin' HTC ring first? I don't understand why we can't have the option (like CyanogenMod) to power on directly to the pattern unlock... And nolock + widgetlocker just doesn't cut it...

Not possible with the E4GLTE. The SIM's embedded, so there's no swapping.

seems sprint is looking to do everything in its power to make me leave and go to verizon or att. we shall see.

Sorry. Ring unlock first. (At least on all the Sense 4 devices I have now.)

The guy complains that the camera is just ok. But not better than the icrap4s, i find this hard to believe. So in your opinion how would you rate the camera?

I read that the hdr is better then the iPhone 4s but colors have more warmth on the iPhone 4s. They said they were about even

I just read pocketnow's review of the one X and they said that the camera is pretty mediocre (conflicting reports with many other sites). On top of that, the 1080p video shot from the One X looked pretty bad also.

Here's another one from CNET. It a decent variety. That iPhone camera is nice, but I think the variable flash on the One X/EVO is going to put it over the iPhone.

Idk it looks like a toss up the htc one x takes better outdoor pics. Let's see if the htc evo lte is better.

Well they each seem to have different focuses. With a cell phone capture a lot of it is just software tweaks. IPhone touches up color a lot. From what I read the one x looks a little over processes when you zoom on far, but it has far better low light performance. Rare on a cell phone camera.

Even if the camera was only "just as good" as the iPhone 4s that would still be pretty impressive. Phil, would you say its comparable to the Rezound's excellent camera?
