So I sold my S8 and want to buy another honor 8. I checked Newegg and didn't see it for $250 on there anywhere. What's the best price I can get on an honor 8 right now. I have roughly 260 to 265 to spend right now bc I've still got to ship the S8 or otherwise I'd have 280 to spend. Any help would be greatly appreciated to the deal finders out there. Thanks.

That's a good idea. A Amazon warehouse deal. I didn't think of that. I bought my Asus Zenwatch 2 that way and it was brand new still.

I have had good luck and bad luck on awd. But Amazon will take it back if it's not as described, or if you are willing to live with the condition then they might be willing to give you a discount in lieu of returning it.
Tough call. I found a 32g and 64g pearl white but the tax is eating me up. I'm not sure which I'll get.

Not sure your exact time frame... But there are honor 8 deals quite frequently. I know you sold your s8 so you are on a limited time frame.
I actually am on a limited time frame. I wish I was not. The deal I want is a Pearl White 64g for $251.99 but with after tax and shipping it's 273 which puts me above budget.
Since I'm in the middle of a job and career change I decided to save some money and I ended up ordering the Axon 7 Mini that was on sale on Amazon. I really wanted another honor 8 but I knew I also needed to watch my funds for the moment. Once I get settled in good I'll either end up getting another honor 8 or I'll get the mate 9. The reviews on the Axon 7 Mini all seem to be good with the only drawback being the battery life. I'll have to check that out and overall see how it stacks up against the honor 8. I know the Atmos dolby surround sound speakers are the best you can get on any smart phone. Then the all metal build that is exactly the same as the ZTE regular Axon 7. Very premium. You get a lot of phone for under 200 bucks which not by far. It was 193 but regular 300. I'll have today and will update this post on how it compares with the honor 8. They both have a 1080p 5.2 inch screen with the fingerprint sensor on the back. I'm curious of just how good of a device it is compared to the honor.
I got the axon 7 mini in and I'd say the honor 8 is a little better device all around. I like the build of the axon better being a high quality premium metal build but the honor wins out in performance a little. Plus I like EMUI of course so I'm biased

It's pretty close on performance to be honest. EMUI is definitely more smooth feeling. They are both the same size phone. I'd say the axon 7 mini has a slight better display but the honor 8 has a better camera and this one isn't bad at all being 16mgp. I do like the premium build of this phone but I like all metal phones over glass though so that's a matter of opinion there. I'd still give a slight edge to the honor 8 performance wise though. That 950 Kirin chip is hard to beat. I don't know. I still may end up sending this one back and getting the Honor but I also have a free iPhone 7 waiting on me at work. My best friend and he's my boss too got me the iPhone 7 so that will end up being my main phone so I'm not sure if I'm going to send this one back or not. I do like it but there is something about the honor 8 that sets it apart from all others.

Glad to hear that the performance was good on the zte. Camera was going to be a win for the honor 8 for sure.
Oh yeah honor 8s camera is one of the best out there. I always have thought that. I may end up sending this back bc I can't seem to get the update to 7.1.1 like I'm supposed to and if I do then I'm getting another honor 8.

Unfortunately you will have to keep it a while though before you can get the honor 8 due to the financial situation got mentioned a few days ago though right? I mean you said you couldn't get the honor 8 due to the price very recently.
I can afford it but with me in the middle of changing jobs I was trying to watch my money for the next month or so. I still could send it back and get the honor 8 which I just might bc I'm having trouble getting nougat 7.1.1 to update on my device. I called ZTE and they stated Amazon sent me a Canadian model but my build number matches up with the US model so I've got a replacement arriving tomorrow but now I'm thinking I do have the US model already and ZTE was wrong. It makes me just want to send it all back and go ahead and get the honor 8 now. I mean I really like the phone but if I can't get my update I'm not keeping it. I bought bc it ran the latest software too.

Ah ok, I realize how important $8 can be to some people and didn't want to recommend a situation where you could be bad off, financially.
Latest software is oreo though. And neither of the phones you mentioned has it.
Well yeah I meant nougat 7.1.1 which is pretty new anyway for a budget device. I don't know what to do. They did confirm that I do have the US version though so I in fact didn't need that replacement sent out but I guess I'll try it and see if the updates are there on it. If not I'm going to get a refund and get the honor again. I love the build of this device as it's very high premium just like the regular axon 7 is. It's just running a 617 processor instead and I know the honor 8 would be a little faster overall. I've got a skin and screen protector already ordered for this phone though so it would be a lot of trouble and waiting to get my refunds then order the honor which I have zero patience anyway lol. So I'm unsure of what I'm going to do.

Well you can get a used nexus 5x, which has oreo now. It's an older device though, you go through phones so fast that the next update should not really matter. That is if the latest os is as important as you said previously. Honor 8 getting oreo is likely but will take a long time, and even then not guaranteed.
Yeah my thought is that the honor 8 won't see oreo most likely. I could be wrong but the 8 has already out lived most other Android devices and is still going strong. I think if it gets Oreo then we won't see the honor 9 here in the US at all. With the potential of the 9 I think Oreo won't hit the 8. Like I said I could off the mark but it's just a gut feeling with what I know about Huawei Honor from being such a fan of them. I read a lot of articles on them. I love that they have went on record stating that they will indeed the number one mobile phone company in the world in a few years. I truly believe it too. I mean just take the honor 8 alone. It's their version of a budget device and simply put there is nothing about the honor 8 that is budget really. It does everything at a flagship level but yet you can get for under 300 bucks. That's why they will be number one as they have said. Plus they innovate. That's important too. As long as they don't come to the USA and all the sudden raise their honor prices to become greedy then they will definitely become number one easily. I have no clue why EMUI receives such a bad wrap from some people. What's not to like about it. We all know apple IOS is by far the smoothest interface on the planet. So what if EMUI is a little bit like IOS. To me EMUI is nothing like Android and it's not IOS either. It's in its own league and could easily be branded as a third major software choice within the mobile industry. It's unique and different but it's butter smooth like IOS. How could anyone not like that. Stock Android is just plain choppy and sticky. I'm sorry but it is and EMUI is not. So I guess you can call it a hybrid but Huawei did an awesome job with it's interface. You simply won't find anything remotely like it. So I'm not sure why some people dislike it so much. I think it's a bandwagon thing and they really do like it but have to say they don't bc they are an Android purist. Anyways I've sat here and basically talked myself back into wanting another honor 8 like really badly now lol. I get carried away when it comes to the honor 8. It's such a strong and well developed device for the money. I do know that there is not a better device on the market that even comes close to the honor 8 in terms of price point. It's so close to a flagship that one could not really even tell the difference and if they didn't know better would easily pay 500 for it. To be able to pick one up at 275 is amazing to me. I miss mine but I'm afraid I'm stuck with the Axon 7 Mini due to being such a long wait if I returned it then bought the honor and wait even longer for it to come in. What I think I'll do is keep my Axon since it's going to run 7.1.1 and then next month pick up an honor 8 to use some in rotation as I do like the Axon. It's a really premium build for 194 dollars. It's no different than the regular axon 7 in terms of build quality plus you add the Atmos Dolby surround sound speakers it has which are amazing alone by itself and to get it for under 200 is a steal. I wished it had a 625 processor compared to the 617 but it's not that big of a difference. It's still pretty zippy and the screen resolution I'd say has a slight edge over the honor 8 as its AMOLED. Color saturations are very good on the axon mini. They both have 5.2 inch screens. So all in all I'm not unhappy with it but I do prefer the honor and EMUI in the end.
