I am going to miss double tapping the home button for camera. Power button isn't nearly as fast for me.


And this whole picture to unlock thing is a non issue. If you really want a secure phone you will use passcode and not iris scanner or fingerprint. Both of which are defeated by bad people. Choose the level you are comfortable with.

Can you sell me on the + versus the normal s8? Is it really worth the upgraded cost?

Hey, I intended on getting the s8 (I have smaller hands and was worried about the size of the s8+) but when I had them both in front of me and held them there was no way I would have picked the regular s8. The s8+ feels really good to hold because of it being taller not wider than most phones. So with the larger screen and battery it's a no brainer for me! Get the s8+ my friend

Given that it can also unlock with a photo, I won't be using it. Have never bothered with it since ICS.

Early tests clearly proof that a photograph will indeed unlock the S8 via facial recognition.

That is always my concern. I went to the Edge 7 knowing the screen wasn't as big as I liked. The 8+ is longer but compared to the Edge7 is it any wider?

Yes. It's a little tall but if you held a note 7 imagine a thin note 7. Only problem I have is they put the fingerprint scanner way up by the camera.

Yeah...that fingerprint scanner is a bit off....guess they ran out of time for the pressure fingerprint unlock under the screen or may come with the note 8

With regards to notifications: have you seen them in action; are they easily missed? What is the quality of the LED?

I love the G6 but its lack of LED notifications makes me also look at the GS8 for future considerations.
