I haven't really looked at the spec of this yet. I don't think there is a lot of new tech on this device other than a larger inner screen.

Does anyone have insight into what trade-in Sammy is offering?

AGREED! That's some request for a device that'll be quite large to wrangle in the wild and a partial case...
I definitely am interested in it, since replacing my laptop & business world while traveling with ZF7. (Using a purrfect petite clear case and a stylus that's "nearly" an Spen replacement). It's been great.

That said, am more concerned of software palatability and usage between the Outer & Inner screens when using apps. Samsung's foot note regarding such wasn't inspiring since I didn't recall any exceptions mentioned with ZF7.
Not concerned with build quality either or screen damage, as been using Folds since the 2, and there's been great changes.

Also, it remains to be seen what trade in discounts and perks if any. Samsung was difficult with the ZF7 purchase with its last minute extra discounts, which it wouldn't honor for early adopters. Wasn't pleased...

All will be revealed shortly; ah Samsung...

If they come out with scroll out foldable I'll be very interested .

Yeah, the price is the barrier for me. Regardless of the fact that I do pay a lot for the tech I really want, but everyone has a line somewhere and $2900 is for sure way over mine. Unless they are willing to offer some INSANE discounts, I would not even consider it. I just can't fathom a use case for this thing other than showing it off. Even the, the ZF7 is impressive enough that people ask about it.

So was alerted 3X earlier this am from Samsung after signing up, went to purchase and... no trade in or perks just 2899 plus tax.
Wow! Can I say niche product?
Yeah... that car down payment will wait.
Disappointed, but as Mustang mentioned the scrollable phone is coming, probably this year; though if that is treated like a niche device as well, Samsung must be rethinking there marketing strategy!

Happily this morning I connected to a 65" sony TV, and with Dex, using my ZF7 as a mouse & keyboard... it was lovely! And worked well, no lag, just precision movement!
Who needs 10" when I had 65"! LOL

$2899 for a trifold is insane. This feels more like a tech demo for enthusiasts than a real consumer device. Fold 7 already covers 90% of use cases, and for this price you could buy a high-end laptop + phone combo. Until the price drops massively, this is pure niche flex hardware.
