Jan 30th TRI FOLD

Here's why you wait to buy first generation.

We are on the 7th gen Z Fold and there are still some devices from that line that have problems. While it is a first gen TriFold, its less risky than the first gen Z Fold was. They have been working with the hinge design and UTG for 7 plus years now. This feels far from a first gen product. It feels just like the Z Fold 7 except another half ZF 7 sandwiched on to the end which creates nearly the perfect experience for media consumption and, in my case, actually working on the device. The only issues I have are a few apps that don't quite format properly when unfolded and it really is a minor inconvenience. I've had every iteration of the Z Fold except the 4 and this is easily my favorite device of the last 10 years. If it develops an issue during the warranty period I'm lucky enough to have a Samsung store in my area and I will take it to them directly instead of dealing with their crappy online customer service. I have zero worries at all about this device other than them not having Samsung Care+ available for any moments of clumsiness I may have.

True, but at $3,000 price tag I'll pass either way. I skipped the fold 1 and had every one since number 2. All phones have screen issues, but at that price point waiting is a good idea for those that get them.

Just my thoughts with Samsung having folding phones for this long it's kind of disappointing they have had reports at all on the trifold, it's same screen concept. Hopefully this is not wide spread. I definitely don't want it with no insurance available to buy, that's a lot of money gone of you drop it

All you guys laying back going "oh, yeah not for me, $2899 is insane blah blah blah."
You haven't used the phone! OMG the Trifold surpasses everything that has come before.
After I ordered I had a panic attack because, you know, the phone OVER $3000!
There is no crease on the display. It's amazing. On my ZF7 when reading the crease would stare me in the face. This phone has NO CREASES!
Gaming is great.
I am treating it like a literal newborn baby.
Affirm offers 0% payment plans.
I figure I can recoup around $1200 for the ZF7. It's 1TB.

It isn't for me and $3,000 for a fancy phone/tablet is insane. This is such a luxury item I would never finance it for 2 years at $130 a month, yes it's zero interest, but still has to be paid off. I'm close to my max on the folds pricing as it is..

Ive been using folds since the fold 2 and the crease has never been a issue while reading anything. The only time it's a issue visually is looking at it from an angle. It's gotten better every year and the fold 8 is rumored to be better also.

The fold 7 form is perfect for a phone/tablet. It's thin, it opens to a small tablet when you want. I have no interest in going bigger, if I need bigger, I'm home and have a 12 inch screen tablet to use.

Me not buying one or wanting one has nothing to do with I haven't tried it. I haven't tried it because I have zero interest in it. To me the trifold is over kill. I'm glad you like it since you bought one, I'm sure it's neat, just not for me and others.
