Pixel 2 still black crushing after updating. Looks like Google is sweeping it under the rug. If it weren't for the camera I'd probably go back to an S8 or something else.

A prime reason I chose the Pixel 2 XL was for the camera. I work with my pictures using Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop CC on my PC. I work with my video using DaVinci Resolve Studio on my PC. So of course I have no problems.

Do you not get the OTA if you're in the beta program? I'd rather not have the phone fully reset unenrolling but I don't want to miss security patches either, so is it the only way?

You need to unenroll from beta in order to get the OTA updates via the regular channel. Hopefully, that will be changed at some point; however, that's the way it is for the time being.

As there is no active beta test going on right now, e.g., no OS update/upgrade currently in the process of being tested, your phone will not be reset upon unenrolling. If active beta testing was in progress, then your phone would be reset upon unenrolling. As that's not the case, there's no need for your phone to be reset.

Bought my Pixel 2 XL unlocked from Google a few weeks ago, popped my sim in from my VZW BB PRIV. Hope that doesn't lead to a delay in updates as I haven't received the Jan update yet. Hmm...

Still haven't received my January patch yet I really hope Google fixes the GPS bug liked being able to check for updates and it was available to download immediately. I cannot side load update since my computer is Dead.
