i have just had this update/upgrade installed and now i have lost my dual time zone clock widget and the volume controls are all jacked up and i cannot do a 'mute' for sleeping like i did with ics for ringer and notifications. i cannot access widgets anymore from home screen. all i get is wallpaper choices. when i tried to do a search that eventually got me to register here i was bombarded with popups for google chrome or google now. this mess i do not need either. i did balk when i got ics, but it works great for me once i worked it out a bit. these two functions are inportant to me. so if anone can tell me how to get back i would appreciate the help. also i am not a person with access to a lot of tech equipment so this may complicate matters. also i am not a computer guru. talk of rooting and hacking is over my head. i understand hacking a little bit. rooting is nothing i understand. however this oldmdog can learn new tricks. i did manage to get here. i will try not to be a burden to those that can offer help. please do be patient as i try to understand what i must do if this jelly bean goo can be purged from my phone and the coolness of ice cream sandwich can be re-installed.any help would be very much appreciated.

what is rooting and how can i get this done. do i go to verizon hut at mall or is this something i can do with laptop and a website?

Use Motorola smart actions for muting while sleeping. Widgets are accessed by going to the app drawer & tapping the widgets tab at the top of the screen. Google now is accessed on the Droid4 by long press on the search icon at the bottom of the screen. I am loving the Jelly Bean update. I also have a Nexus10 tablet so have been waiting for this update on my D4, now that I have it I am very happy!

thanks for info about accessing widgets and the smart actions. i think i may have a mute function set up with a smart action now. i wound up having to search for a world clock app but was lucky enough to find a free one. after setting it up it is a bit cooler than the stock one i had been using in the ics version, but gripes me that i had to waste some time pestering folks to regain what i had before update. my thanks to who made that app. i had to set up both clocks seperatly but at a glance it looks almost like what i lost. nice thing about new app is i can color code the readouts.and arrange the displays how i want to view them i can put a clock on each of my home pages. old app had both clocks side by side and only black and white.app i found lets me do the colors for readout. since my wife is in different time zone for a while it is nice to use her favorite color for her time readout, so i can tell at a glance if it is too late to call her. now that my major issues have been dealt with i will settle in to give this jb upgrade a try. ics was not a home run at first but i grew to like it. except for the battery life. i went from almost 4 days standby to maybe all day on a good day i hope jelly bean solves this issue. thanks again for the help in getting my fancy phone function back for me again.
