Um, where the heck did sleep mode go? I just installed Jelly Bean and think it's amazing in every way, especially with Google now. But, uh, did they really take away sleep mode?

wouldn't hurt to just shut her down. a reboot every now and again is a good thing ;)
Yeah but it'd be a pain the butt to turn my phone on and off in between every class. Plus I sleep with my phone off.

So does anyone have the answer to JB's question? I would like to know for myself because I used it a lot too. It helped to save my battery when not using my phone. Turning my phone off and on takes too much time and is very loud every time.

Here are screenshots on this topic from Verizon's site.

Funny- people complain when manufacturers add customizations to stock Android to their phones, but when one of those things is removed and the OS becomes more "stock", people are still upset.

Select -Settings
-Display
-SLEEP is the fourth option.
It never changed on my phone from GB to ICS to JB.

That is different than what they are talking about. The original sleep option out the phone into a lower power state than even airplane mode.

Airplane mode it's the best option now.

Except, ironically, when you're on an airplane when all systems need to be off. Sleep mode was a nice alternative to the full power-up process.
