Now we have the option to add your own background in the text thread during an on going conversation. I really like that feature i have a ton of HD backgrounds to choose from or switch to.

unfortunately no, that feature is on the Samsung Premium Suite and i think only the international s3's have it

open the messaging app and press the menu button and go into settings. then press background style and on the left is the button to change the background to a picture in your gallery or take a new one

I have noticed that when I receive a text message, it no longer appears on the lock screen in its own separate bubble in the right center part of the screen. I'm kind of sad about that.

Yea but when you pull down the notification bar you can read the text, if it's short, AND see the attachment if sent....I'm excited about that.

i'm having trouble with the supposed expanded notifications... when i get the a new email in the gmail app i see the expanded info, but when i try the two finger gesture to either collapse or expand the extra info it doesn't work. I got it to work once randomly but have failed every other time. am i just ed? it works 100% reliably on my jelly bean tablet.

Just pinch horizontally. Thumbs and index finger outward horizontally. Left and right

For those who had an issue with cut and paste, this is resolved in jelly bean without root. I'm glad to have this back!

Another thing I've discovered..... I have a folder on my main home screen with many apps, if I open the folder and launch an app, then when I'm done with the app I press the home button it brings me back to my main home screen with the folder open. That wasn't the case with ICS. Me no likey that!

I'm loving the new camera ability to pause recording and resume recording on one file. Sweet!

Tip: Just tap and hold menu to get to Google Now

anyone notice that when you use the menu shortcut google now looks plain but when you go threw the task manager it has a background and looks more lively. I wonder y

I like the little phone button in the text message's in the upper right hand corner. You can direct call someone now instead of backing out to your contacts

yea it looks nice, but it still sucks because it shuts off automaticly after one minute. To me since i sleep like a log is no good. Why would they do this is beyond me?

Ah I read it wrong and thought you meant news ticker in the notification pull down..til I could only find it for the lock screen and I don't use the lock screen.. Bummers.

There are a few posts scattered that mention an app that can allow for using it on the VZ GSIII. This post is one.

I also found that you can do this same thing in Nova Prime. Long press on home screen and choose Shortcuts->Activities->Settings and expand the options (left side of screen) and scroll to Blocking mode. This creates a shortcut as well.
