Jelly Bean? Is it realistic.

Not JB OTA, but hopeful: September 25, 2012, according to Doug Drinkwater for TabTimes, "Samsung announced that 10 phones and four tablets will be upgraded to Jelly Bean, the latest iteration of Google’s Android mobile operating system. These models comprise four tablets: the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and& Galaxy Note 10.1."

This is my first Samsung product. How's their track record with updating

I like Samsung products a lot but they take forever to release updates. If you want fast updates you should buy the nexus devices. They are the first to get all of the updates.

Samsung has released the source code which means it's right around the corner.

At Is point I am not holding my breath. Seems like we expected JB back in August.

I looked around briefly, and the source that was released is labeled as GT-P3000 and not 3113, so I am a little less comfortable that something for my Tab 2 is around the corner.
