Jelly Bean Issues After Update

Maybe its just my device... but I cant seem to download temple run / angry birds on my jelly bean?? Any thoughts...

The Google maps bug is really irritating. Had to disable my location services because Maps was using 15-18% battery.

My swipe doesnt want to work at all. :( I have tried to take the battery out and nothing. I have noticed the grey about the notification bar and my phone does not "fly". Also I hate that the keyboard no longer has the font I choose under font stylr as im typing. Anyone else have this swype problem?

I updated RUU thinking it would relieve me of issues. Wishful thinking. I want to start by saying that the update for sense is great! You can feel and see the smoothness. Really is much better and I am already seeing a slight improvement on battery life although I have not been through a full day yet. Also, Google now, seems cool and from what I hear it needs time to learn. Hope so because its definitely not quite as responsive as I was led to believe.

So now for the issues. Launchers... I've tried em all and previously I used Next, (I used very simple backgrounds and themes. Only liked it because of the freedom you had with icon and widget placement). Well now I cant use any of them. They all work horribly and the themes simply wont apply completely. I've tried Next, Go EX and Nova. Either the dock icons work and the regular ones wont or vice versa. The widgets don't work properly and the smoothness seems to fade. I also seem to have a problem with any type of SMS themes. They just wont load correctly.

Any ideas, advise would be great. If not it looks like Sense is once again my home.

I am having the same issues with my Swype. Takes several seconds for the keyboard to appear when you are sitting there ready to type something. Gmail also is just about unusable, but I think that is more of a Verizon problem I hear. Overall, I think the phone is very laggy since the update. Wish there was a way to go back to the way it was. I haven't tried a factory reset yet. Might do that today.

I have a cherry w500 and my problem in regards with the update was terrible, after I put back my sim all my sim contacts we're gone . another thing that dissapoints me is the lack of customization in my display which I previously enjoyed with my ICS. everything is too touchy, my apps are cluttered everywhere in my home screen, my WiFi connection switches off and I have to switch it back on, the switching of sound profile changes befor I know it, my auto rotation switches off. now I just want my ICS back. like seriously

email notification issues after 4.1.2 update. Email account setup will not allow push for my Yahoo email account but will allow push for my Hotmail account. Samsung support unable to help. This Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update needs work!

The beep indicating that the camera is focused (and the shutter release sound perhaps) has changed. Also, it seems that the shutter releases a little quicker than before.

After Jelly Bean was pushed down to my Galaxy S2 the other day, I was playing with the various home screen wallpapers to see which I liked best. I decided I liked the default wallpaper the best, but when I went to choose it, it wasn't there. Does anyone know how I can restore the default wallpaper?

Just got the update today for my SG3. Can't use facebook when connected to wi-fi. Statuses show but not comments, messages, alerts etc. Also, seems my phone won't stay connected to the wi-fi...keeps 'reconnecting'. Re-installed, took battery out and restarted, played with wi-fi settings. Nothing works.

You got it on your Verizon GS3?

Michelle,
Welcome to the forums!

When you say 'reinstalled' do you mean that you did a Factory Reset on the phone, or that you reinstalled the 4.3 update using the Kies software?

After updating to 4.3 my PDANet does not work. The Verizon Mobile Hotspot won't start because I don't have the service activated. Major Fail
