Jelly bean update

Does anyone know if the device ID number is changed with the JB update? I have yet to receive the update, but I use my phone for work email and our IT folks said our email is tied in with the device ID. So if we accept the update we will lose our email for the day until we put in a ticket with our help desk to reinstate email on our device.

I would love to update but if the device ID is changed I may have to wait till the weekend to update if I get the update this week.

Thanks in advance

In LA County, California. Have yet to receive the update. I am not clearing framework data because I don't want to ruin anything on my phone or have to fix anything. I don't root or modify my phone (anymore) which is why I got a Nexus. I'm assuming it'll be pushed in the middle of the night when the network isn't that flooded. Hopefully so...

Waiting for days just didn't work for me, so this morning I started doing the framework clear, OTA came up the 3rd time.

I'm in the Northern Virginia/Washington D.C area have have not received the update yet.

I'm in DC and got the update pushed to me yesterday morning. However, I was rooted so it failed. Now I'm stock and continuing to try the trick to get it pushed again (if that's even possible??)

If you got the update once, just try searching for new updates instead of the Framework thing.

Just unrooted my phone so that im on stock gingerbread. Doesn't anyone know if I have to update my phone to ics in order to get jb or will I be able to update jb ota without ics

You will have to go Gingerbread to ICS to Jelly Bean.

Writing from Denver. Cleared the framework, then checked for updates. On the second try, I got the update notification and JB goodness is downloading to my phone as I type this. Yay!

Here's a screenshot of the dreaded error triangle that shows up in just about every message I send through the stock messaging app. They did go through, don't know why this is happening. Anyone else?

And a side note...there is an expanded message pane on the notification shade, but so far no expanded functions for me.

Might want to edit out that woman's number.

I have done this now about 20 times and nothing. Restarted my phone. keep trying. nothing. I can't be the only one this isn't working for?

Just looking for at that screenie you basically have no signal either.. Completely blank signal strength bars on WIFI and your normal signal bars.. That could be causing the texts not to go thru.

Is your device stock? Rooted? Just trying to form a picture here..

I couldn't edit the picture (thought I did prior to upload, must have grabbed the unedited version) online so I just deleted the post. Thanks for picking that up.

Although it looks like I have no signal, I have no problem with anything else. I can access FB, Twitter, anything and everything with that signal. It's usually greyed out, only blue when I reboot which I don't feel like doing 10X a day. I have no issue whatsoever with GoSms with that signal either. I use a Sprint MiFi OTA hotspot for internet access. Much, much faster than 3 G out here. Such is my life in the boonies.

salt lake city here, nope nothing. cleared framework, checked updates, reboot, dropkick. nothing.

Honestly, the only time I think it works is when you are in the queue to receive the OTA anyway. I think most of us that did the framework reset (it broke my Google Play connection) and then got the OTA, were just by coincidence, IMO.
