I don't know if anyone has already checked this out but I've been using it for a few days and have to say I'm really impressed. It is pretty slick and includes a customized ADW launcher just for the rom which makes it seem even faster. JRummy also has some really sick looking themes that go along with it (Strawberry aka Red being the best IMO)

It's up in ROM Manager so I won't go through posting any of the zips for it. I hear that it works from most any Froyo rom but I went back to the stock FRF57 with a fresh wipe then installed this over.

1.) Open ROM Manager
2.) Download ROM
3.) JRummy
4.) Froyo Kangerade 1.0 Customizer
- It will now open a series of options to customize the ROM to your liking starting with the theme.
5.) No need to wipe but as always I recommend you backup.

I have been running this for a day now and right off the bat it seemed pretty stable. I have been a bugless beast fan since I rooted but the froyo bugless beast was driving me nuts. It wouldnt hold my settings and apps disappearing.
So I dl'd this in the blue theme and it looks great and I havent had a problem yet. Good job to the Devs for getting this right before releasing it.

I tried it for a few days, and liked the feel, and looks, but the blue one wouldn't load right, on first reboot u would get to the end of the startup wizard, and the wizard would FC, and no matter what it would have a blank screen with notification bar only. I got the red rom to go, but voice search, and navigation would always close themselves within about 5 seconds of being open.... I am now using Onix with Black Glass theme and love it!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all of these Custom Froyo Roms lack the new JIT which is supposed to give such dramatic speed gains? For me even with Rom Manager, its still too much of a pain in the behind to wipe and reinstall all my apps and home page widgets and other settings just to beta test someone's custom rom. I'm sticking with Bugless Beast 1.1 until the official Froyo for Droid arrives and then hopefully some of these Custom Roms will get the new JIT.

had this same problem gave up on running these roms

I had the same problem as well. The first time I attempted I ran into this and almost gave up. The way I got around it was to Wipe and install the stock FRF57 and then I installed only the Strawberry JRummy ROM without any of the other stuff and it worked. Since then I've went back and customized it to fit me better (kernels, fonts, etc)

So far all of the ones I've tested have had JIT enabled and it definitely makes a huge difference. I have to agree switching all that can be a big pain but there's a way that makes it fairly simple. After switching I let Android restore all of my apps by itself. Whichever ones aren't restored I then do it manually. I also use ADW launcher because it allows you to backup your launcher settings and desktop configuration which saves some more time. I have heard people talk about using Titanium as a backup utility but I haven't looked into it much. I suppose it makes picking up where you last left off really simple as well.

I agree. I was a huge BB fan too until I tried this. I absolutely love JRummy's ROM. I also love his themes for the ROM. They are simple enough to not be out there but change enough that I like the appearance. That's saying a lot from a guy who enjoys usual stock android.

Thanks for the suggestion on Onix. I'll probably try it out later this week if nothing big happens that blocks up my time schedule lol.

I have been on JRummy for a couple days now and for the most part it has been very good. Sometimes I have experienced slower widget redraws when coming back to the home screen but nothing too major. The battery life is pretty decent.

I am tempted to try the new BB or the onyx which I originally wanted to try.

If you don't mind try to post some thoughts on Onyx once you get to try it. I'm interested to see more about it and plan and trying it out next. I usually try to spend a couple weeks to see if I can bog a ROM down before switching out. Who am I kidding I just wait till I get bored and want something new lol.

My experience with JRummy's Rom was not so pleasant. Wouldn't allow Titanium Backup to work. One of my apps was constantly stuck at downloading in the market. And it was very slow even at 1ghz. There were too many hang ups where the phone would get stuck in transition.

As for Onyx. Initially I had trouble with changing the wallpaper. It wouldn't let me. 1 random reboot and 2 hard reboots later it works. Also had a lot of force close error on apps but I fixed that with fix permission in Rom Manager. That has been it so far. Its fast, especially with Launcher Pro. Goodies include themes, fonts, kernals, and boot animation.

Giving JRummyy's (Blue) rom a go right now. It just finished installing and I've got the boot animation going. Fingers crossed. Trying it out at Chevy's 1100 GHZ.

With JRummy, when I installed it, I selected the 1.1Ghz kernal but it gave me the 800mhz. Also my battery is at 40% now and I only have used the phone for 1, 5min phone call, maybe 7 texts, 20 min of youtube and 5 min of navigation. To me thats too much battery drain. My phone is quite snappy tho, dont need it any faster then 600mhz, which I have it set to.

I would probably stay with this if I could get 1 full day of use out of it. Might try some other roms tonight.

i figured i would give it another chance since im waiting for the new onix rom to release today and so far it is ok. a little better then my last time using it but just not as smooth as other roms. the reason i switched from onyx (the current build) is because i was having market issues even after installing the market fix zip. just would take forever to fully load.
