JTAG LOCK is not set

The Samsung Galaxy 7 edge will not boot. And all that is on the screen is 'JTAG Lock is not set'. I can't reboot, I can't go into recovery mode... And I can't find anything online to fix it. Believe me I've tried. Please help.

happened to my galaxy s7 as well.
you need to download 6.1 firmware from sammobile, go to download mode and flash the firmware (BL, AP etc...) using odin. this will change the red message in the top and will let the phone boot.
you can upgrade to 7.0 after.
