Yes this looks to be a very nice device. Unfortunately I have until November before I'm eligible at the earliest for upgrade.

I am definitely keeping my eye on this and the Epic 2 ....

Isnt the galaxy s2 and the epic2 the same phone except the epic 2 has the keyboard?

Nope, the Epic 2 is not going to be a top of the line phone.

Just because it (epic 2) won't have a duel core processor doesn't mean that's it not top of the line.

Yes I know. I bought my phone the day it came out and still am considering the S2. Don't care about phys keyboard. I know that I have to pay full price and I don't care. I want sleek and speedy!

I'm getting the GS2 asap. it will not have a physical keyboard (thank god). If it had one then I would be tempted to get a different phone

I really like the Epic, but I upgrade once a year. My upgrade is at the beginning of August, so I?m bound to get something new around that time. Not even considering the Evo 3D. Looking at the Photon and Galaxy S II. If the Epic 2 is dual core, I?d probably get it, but I hear it isn?t so?

A friend just got a Samsung Droid Charge on Verizon. He set it up as a wifi hotspot, I connected and ran a speed test. 14 Mbps down!!! Yes, i'm jumping ship....to Version unless Sprint gets 4g where I live and work. I'm frustrated that big red has come from behind and just left Sprint in the dust on the 4g rollout. Even when I have gotten WIMAX, it is usually les than 7 Mbps.

GB definetly. At the speed the leaks are coming out, and how good they are, i expect it within the next two months. Way before any carrier is even expected to release the s2

Not definetly at all. The GS2 is coming in july or, at the absolute latest august. GB is still at the minimum 2-3 weeks away I would think.

If the GS2 does make it out the door before the Epic 4g gets GB what version will the GS2 be running??? Hmmm.. Seems like many are getting GB from the factory but they are also only getting v2.3.3 which is good but does have some bugs and things left out. The Nexus S is running v2.3.4 and last two builds for the Epic 4g (EF16 and EF29) have shown to be built around v2.3.4.

That could be a little hat trick for the Epic 4g over many others, sure you got GB but we have the most current possibly final release of GB 2.3.4...

Just food for thought...

What is better, G2 or the Moto Photon? I'm leaning towards the Photon, but don't know much about moto's high end phones.
