Junk aps factory installed

I found the roms and kernels options lacking for the Charge. That is why I just rooted and left it. Allows me to keep app backups with titanium and freeze apps I don't want. My wife is using the charge now and is getting great battery life out of it. Better than I got but I used it a lot more than she does ;)

Why does google Maps keep showing up in my running apps when I've not opened it since I re-booted, and I have GPS off?

I am on stock GB rooted, installed Titanium Backup and with it uninstaled a whole bunch of apps I dont and didnt use. Since then I got more free RAM. Now I got to tell I have no idea if I did something wrong or not but my charge has been working without any problems since, also as I Mentioned I got more free RAM about 100 Mbites . Hope This helped

Froze all my useless apps wtih TiBackup. Mine phone seems to run pretty laggy at times though.

Really the best way to deal with this is to root, or even easier, flash a custom ROM that is already rooted and debloated. I found a couple of very easy guides on XDA forums that take you step by step on what to download and how to do this.
HOW TO: Flash ROMs with Odin3 v1.82, tailored to GB 2.3.4 - xda-developers
[ODIN][ALL IN ONE][EP4D] Gingerbread 2.3.6 W/Root/CWR/IMO Kernel 4.0 - xda-developers
[EP4D][Stock][CWM][Odin]Full Odexed and Deodexed Stock - xda-developers
I downloaded the deodexed/debloated ROM, and the EP4D modems update along with ODIN, samsung drivers, and CWM, and then just went step by step per the guide. The phone now works so much quicker and smoother it is amazing, and there is no bloatware.
