Junk carrier apps - how to remove or deactivate?

Got my Note 3 last week (AT&T) and noticed many carrier junk applications installed. Not able to delete them or deactivate them. Is there a way to do this without rooting the device?

The only thing I know of without rooting is to disable the apps. Settings>application manager>swipe over to "all">select the app>disable
