Junk Email Notifications

Hi everyone!

I use Samsung email app as my primary source of email in my S22. (hotmail primarily) I have it set to provide a pop-up notification when email arrives. The problem is I get notified even when the email goes directly to junk or spam rather than my inbox. Is there any way using Samsung email app to only be notified when a new email arrives at the inbox and NOT when it arrives at spam or junk folders?

I also don't see an option in "Email settings/Notifications/App notifications". Maybe the "Notification categories/Privacy and security" is potentially related to junk or spam?

I'm using Hotmail through Samsung email app and only get for incoming mail , how did you set up.yours that you mentioned setting pop up ?

My notifications are also incoming mail but I am notified when mail is junk or spam as well as inbox.

I cannot find a way to notify only for inbox.

I have all notification types checked off in Samsung mail within apps. None of those categories say inbox nor junk nor spam.

Do you have your junk and spam folders set up to sync as well as inbox? I sync all the folders but don't want notifications from them. I need to check periodically in case legit mail goes to junk.

Junk mail don't seem to be sync on mine until I open and check , maybe look into that settings

Tap the gear icon >your account>folders to sync>toggle only incoming
