thank god.. 1 billion was ridiculous... even this is high but a pocket change for samsung.

I think samsung already made the money back by raising the price of components they sell to Apple

They still paid close to a billion. The $290,million is in addition to the $600 million balance they still had from the original trial. $890 million still stings.

What is this lawsuit about anyway? Like, what's the point of this? Is Apple just butthurt because iOS doesn't compare to Android? Seems like something they'd do.

Or is Apple crying because "Boo-hoo, we're not the only smartphone manufacturer in the world"? Maybe Apple just wants to feel better about themselves because they can't stand that 80% of all mobile devices are Android.
