I do appologize if this has been covered before, I attempted to search the forums for answers, but i am not very fluent yet. My quesitons are simple and I hope someone can answer it for me.

1) I was wondering if there was a way to get facebook notifications sent to my phone the way facebook messages and friend invites get sent. On my BB (which I am happy to say, I just recently left) the facebook APP would push comments on my wall, and comments on posts I have posted on. currently I only get pushed to my phone messages and invites... no other comments, I do kinda of miss that. Is there any setting I have overlooked?

2)is there a way I can my homescreen adjust to landscape mode? like if I have have my phone on the charger (using my kickstand case) can I have the home screen oriented into landscape mode?

For now those are the two questions that pop into my head. I thank anyone for helping me find answers to these.

1) Unfortunately, the Android Facebook app is pretty garbage when it comes to notifications, and doesn't support nearly as many notification types as on other platforms. You can try a 3rd party replacement such as Bloo, but I'm not very familiar with that so I don't know if notifications are any better on it.

2) This is a limitation of Android, and you can't get it to rotate on the home screen unless you download a 3rd party launcher such as LauncherPro or ADW, all of which can be found in the Android Market.

The way around the FB notifications is to set up your FB account to email you everything. I too miss the BB FB app but haven't had any complaints after getting used to it this way.

Yes this will work buti suggest you set up a seperate email just for FB otherwise you will have a filled email box.

Not necessarily. You can choose what things FB sends you a message for. You can also have it send you a text message for most of the same stuff. Agreed that the app isn't as nice as the one on the BB for notifications, but I've gotten used to dealing with the email version and then going in to it. The betterness of the phone compared to my BB more than makes up for it.

My reccomendation to add to the fold is TweetDeck. It links to your FB if you let it and allows you to do everything that FB does...the only thing i still use my FB for is to sync my calender and messages which i check once a week on my phone (usually everyday at home on my pc).
