Hi I registered so I can peek at all of the links here. Some I can't see as an unregistered user. I probably won't post much just wanted to let y'all know I'm here.


I don't have a fancy pants android device. I have a simple and cheap android device. I wanted to kind of "fit in" because a few of my family members have the LG ally. I can't get that because I cannot afford a post pay plan. So my next option was to go prepaid and you can guess what I did there. I am on with Virgin Mobile. My device is the LG Optimus V. Like I said nothing too fancy.:-[

Anyway hi. I will mostly stay in lurking just to get ideas on what to do with my new little toy.

Welcome to the forum. It's a cool place to hang out and learn. Don't be down on your optimus though. They're an awesome phone and with rooting and a custom rom/kernel can complete with most high end androids. My sisters can benchmark almost even scores with my evo.

Thanks. I am looking around for what apps to get for customization. I am using zedge for ringtones and weather channel for my weather and clockr for my clock widget. I like handcent (SP) for sms. I am just not sure I want to root my device. I paid for a warranty already lol don't need to void it yet.
