since at&t bout of tmobile the other day, theirs talk about how the mytouch 4g wont work with the new network an whatever. what i wanna know is would tmobile allow people to cancel their plans now without cancellation fees? i would switch to verizon just for the iphone 4. i love it. any one no?

It will take more than 2 years before they will shut off T-mobile bands for GSM. I would absolutely not worry right now. Just to close the deal will take more then a year, but yes everyone with T-mobile phone will have to get new phones.

No T-mobile will not let you cancel as there is no reason to. Yes they will become AT$T but not for a while. your contract will be up before they make the switch.

att would be very stupid to shut down t-mobiles bands as they are much more stable and reliable then there own but rather merge the bands together

Only thing I was worried about was loosing my unlimited data that I have with Tmobile.

Both parties have agreed that if you're contracted with T-Mobile when (or if) the merger happens, you'll keep your plan just like it is. So make sure you upgrade and lock in those great rates before it happens :)
