Just bought 32GB microSDHC Card for $139

Its a class 2. I'll put movies on it when I go on business trips, they take up about 500 to 800 MB each.

For that price I would of gotten a mp3 player instead, unless an outlet will be available when you travel for charging. I've only been able to watch 1 two full hour movie on my Evo before having only enough juice for minor web surfing. I can watch 3-4 full movies on my Zune HD and I have a kickstand accessory that goes with it. Plus the movie files I have on my Zune are under 400MB with great quality. Granted it's not the same screen size, but I always find myself reaching for my Zune HD more for movie files than my Evo.

Any proof it's a real one? If there isn't a serial number printed on the card, it's fake.

movies. very nice. completely forgot about the fact we can do that. gonna have to find some stuff to fill this SD card up with.

I wonder if the price will ever go down on sd cards. I want 16gb, but I don't want to pay a lot for it.

got a brand new Polaroid 16 gb one on Ebay for 29 bucks. Thats about the price there, no rebates, brand new. not bad value IMO as 16 GB is enough for me

it will go down
back in the day the 128mb card for my first digital camera cost almost $400
now you can get like 8 gig cards for $20

I honestly don't see myself needing a 32gb card but the fact remains that I sure as hell want one for my EVO.

I already have an Archos 5 with 120Gb hard disk. But I'm giving that to my son. I really want to carry a single device.

I usually load up about 10 or 15 movies before a trip (so I have some variety to choose from), and probably watch 3 or 4 of them over the course of a week. I recharge every night, so battery is not an issue.

I dont see the need for one that large honestly. Then again I have a laptop to watch movies with.

I loaded my 8gig card with 500 NES roms, 40 SNES roms, and 40 GBA roms, about 400 mp3s and a few short movie clips and I still have 5gb left.

If i was going to use it to watch movies I would load 4 or 5, then connect to my laptop and swap them out.

I normally do that once a month with all the photos/videos i take.. Make a "Phone Backup" Folder and back it up all to the PC.

What's sad is in 6 months, that $140.00 card will be $69.99, and you will see a 64gb card for $140.00

Id rather just wait it out. The cycle for MicroSD memory is at its prime now, since its pretty much the universal format. Its best to buy when the "next big thing" comes out and the price drops almost in half. Its how the RAM market and Desktop Computer Parts markets have been for years now

I remember just 3 years ago seeing 256mb MicroSD cards for $70.00, now they are throwaways and worthless.

I recently bought a 32GB on Ebay for $36.33. Listing didn't specify but it is a class 6. New 32GB TF Trans Flash Micro SD SDHC Memory Card 32G - eBay (item 220619595391 end time Jun-10-10 13:28:14 PDT)

You want to be careful on ebay.
There are ALOT of fake cards out there... ALOT. and thats for all formats.
That one you just linked was a no-name. Probably coming from some cheap knock off operations company in China.

Let me tell you a little story about EBAY and MEMORY CARDS

A few years ago when the PSP was popular they would sell fake MSDuos that looked identical to the real thing, packaging and all. These fakes would either allow a significantly less max capacity once you really filled the things, or they would be 2 smaller cards melded together for piss poor performance. One thing you'll notice if it is a fake is the transfer speed will suck, ( think 20 minutes to transfer 1gb of data) or it will show 32gb available in windows and on the phone, but you will get errors once you try to put over 16 or 20gb of data.

Normally i dont preach about it, but I had a fake memory card CATCH FIRE in my psp. I sent the card back to Sony and they told me it was a counterfeit.

If it sounds too good to be true.. IT IS.. Don't trust your data to just anything because its cheap
