Hello and thanks for your help.

I just bought a rooted phone today (N1) that is running on froyo 2.2 Build number: frf50

However, i cannot download any apps because it wants the previous owners gmail password. When i try to delete their account the phone says that the account is required by some applications and i must restore the phone to factory defaults.

After reading articles I learned that the phone will no longer be rooted, but how can I go back and reload the rom? And by doing the factory reset will I brick it? I dont know how to check if the rom are backed up or not...... can someone please help! Pretty much I would like to know if my phone will turn on again if i do this and if it does will it still be rooted?

I know these are beginner questions but I really appreciate your help, everyone has to start somewhere!

Thanks!

Why do you care if its rooted?
You can restore Foryo even if factory reset goes back to virgin.
