I recently had the glass on my Razr Maxx get shattered on my kitchen floor! My bad. While it's being repaired by Motorola in Texas ($99) I had to put my 6 year old
LG VX8300 into service! Just try to get Verizon or LG to provide you with the software update necessary to get your Backup Assistant to work!!! No brick and mortar store can do this for you anymore, nor will the patch cord from Amazon help you. Makes your lack of a working widget or unnecessary app seem downright silly. Just food for thought!

What are the import options in the lg phone for contacts? It may support csv. If it does, export your contacts through google online as a csv, then place on memory card and import.

If you had an HDTV and cable before you sent it, I could have led you through backup on phone.

Others keep that in mind should you lose your screen. Not too harp on the OP btw.

Let me know what you find out about your phone.

Thanks. Tried exporting to SD card, but LG won't accept anything it but manual entry or Backup Assistant.

If you have the data cable for the phone, you should be able to use bitpim to connect to hone and import the CSV through bitpim. You need the data cable for the LG phone. I assume you did actually mean you sent the phone off already right?

THANKS, MrHost! That did the trick. First time using bitpim, so it took a bit of work, but worth it in the end. Much apppreciated!
Maxx is stil in Texas so this will make life a bit easier for now..
