OK, I tried to support Android Central by white listing it on my Ad Blocker. However I got tired of the site starting to load and then when I click on a link in the site a banner ad loads and then the screen jumps and I end up clicking on something inadvertently.

Hey I don't mind white listing sites I like. But when I can't click on links anymore without the screen anymore I turn by ad blocker back on.

I tried allowing the ads, but when it takes 30 seconds for the page to load all of them on top of the page, that's ridiculous. I'm all for supporting sites, but you need to improve how your ads are handled.

I'm not sure that applies here.

You do understand that AC says this is Your fault because you won't download some random, no name, spyware er... "ad reporting software" and install it on your system to report the "bad apples".

Agreed. AC is painful with ads.

It's not just AC. Windows Central runs as bad on my Surface Pro. These are the only two websites that lag for me. Any other website flows smoothly.

Update: 11-21-16 I have been using the Edge browser. I just switched back to IE and this site runs fine. I had noticed the "video" ads in the Edge browser and I think that's what was causing my issues. The video ads here on IE do not display.

Yeah! I do have Ad Blocker installed-But let ads get into the browsers.
Although I disapproved: We've to understand the ACapp is free..
So lot of Freewares run Ads, so we've to deal with..Bye

I would be happy to whitelist, but I need the site to perform reasonably well, and it does NOT. I've whitelisted other sites that avoided intrusive, noising and performance destroying ads. I tried it here, too, but ultimately it was so bad that it was a choice to either not use the site, or turn the ad blocking back on.

Can't install google play apps on a windows machine, or a Mac or an iPhone.
Since there are no Notes. I am on iPhone for the time being.
Even if I had a Note 7 right now, when I am sitting in front of a 27" monitor, I shouldn't be forced to use the app exclusively on the phone just because it won't run without adblock on a beastly desktop.

I use the forums app for almost everything: No ads anywhere.

Exactly. Right now I'm a Windows Phone user. I use the WC app when I'm away from my Surface and I can't install an AC app on my phone.

Wasn't suggesting forcing anyone to do anything. Just suggesting other options.

I'm all for sites making some dough off of advertising. I understand they have to pay the bills. But, when I go and turn off my ad block and hit refresh and I have to wait for the banner add at the top to load that has some false click-bait statement in it, then the screen goes dark for another big advertisement and once I click through that, I get a page that's still loading because of the advertisements (and I'm on a fast internet link), it's not a good experience.

I know you have to pay the bills but I'd suggest you find a better way.

I'd agree that's unacceptable - is that on the forums or the blog or both?

We have never asked anyone to install any type of "Spyware" or random app. Please stop spreading lies/misinformation about this. We are all here to help and we are users just like you -- I have no special "exemption" from ads or anything of that nature.

You were asked to fill out a Form (http://phon.es/badads) to report them -- Not install anything. So again .. Asking for help / being frustrated is okay but spreading information that is completely false is not needed at all.

Ok so it's fill out a form, not install malware. Either way. its not the users job to do this.
if you guys have need to know what is causing the problem, go to best buy, get a $300 laptop and make a user account and report them yourself. Surf this site like a normal user for a week and see if you don't spend a week reporting ad after ad instead of enjoying the site.
I can't believe you guys are even asking users to "fill out a form". Since when did site maintenance become a user task?
Anyone that works at mobile nations can use their personal computer and report ads.
I do not have any issues using ANY other android site and android pit, Droid life, 9to5google, engadget etc do not ask me to fill out forms as a user.
Nor do I have to block ads on those pages to have a good user experience.

I thought this had been previously resolved, but apparently not.

You have no obligation to report these things; we would just appreciate it if you did.

The volunteers, who are the people monitoring the site feedback section, have no ability to fix the situation and find it just as frustrating as everyone else. So the only tool available to us is the same one that is available to everyone else and the only reason that we bring it up is because not everyone knows about it and it is the only resource that we know of that has any chance of getting the information in front of the people that need to get it.

Since not everyone knows about that tool and it's the only tool available, we bring it up. That's not intended to be a suggestion that it's your responsibility to fix the problem. We're not asking you to be QA testers; it's a separate issue when we point out that the form linked above is a more reliable tool to get the information to the right people than the forum.

Hope that makes sense.
