Just enabled Ad Blocker on Android Central....

I've been an avid reader of this site for years, but the ad blocker pop up screen every single time I visit the site is ridiculous. As it happens, I couldn't disable anything on my browser if I wanted to because my browser settings are controlled by my employer. It is with great sadness that I bid you goodbye Android Central....at least until you end this repetitive hammering of visitors to turn off ad blocking software.

I haven't seen the message yet on AC. Are you seeing it while logged in? Is it on the blog or forums or both?

I use Ad blocking as a security measure against the ads that can infect a person's machine. Sorry, if I have to turn off my ad blocker for a site then I just won't be back. It is unfortunate that the hackers have driven me to this extreme, but my safety first, your ads a distant second.

Exactly. I have a custom extension that I helped develop that blocks almost all third party scripts because of what they can do from a security standpoint.

If it's any consolation, AC appears to work OK if the main site is white listed and the Forums are ad blocked. It was the links "jumping around" in the forums while ads were loading that was driving me crazy.

I still don't quite get while all the Mobile Nations sites load so poorly with ads. Other tech blogs that I follow such a Thurrott.com and Winbeta behave reasonably well white listed.

Hopefully someone is monitoring this thread. I don't think your followers mind supporting you, so long as your site behaves.

We try to forward every one of these threads to the right people.

I'm seeing it on the Blog. Not *every* time I go on, but too often. Again, I wouldn't mind unblocking the ads, but the experience is terrible. And I couldn't even give you useful information, even if I were willing to go through it again - it's such a mess that I can't even tell what is going what. Basically as soon as I unblocked the ads, the site became unusable. Turned it back on, and I can read.
