Just got a CR-48

I had an unexpected surprise sitting on my door step when I got home. I'm glad I don't have to worry too much about theft at my apartment complex since it was just sitting at the door all afternoon.

Got one myself as a complete surprise yesterday. No confirmation email or anything. It actually showed up on the 3rd but my building is beyond horrible with mail and packages. Played with it a little too much yesterday... looks awesome thus far.

how long has it taken most of you to receive your cr 48 from the time you filled out the form?

Same for me too. I filled it out the day it was announced and received it on the 29th of Jan. I dont think they are going by date and time of filling out the form. If they were, I'm sure I would have received mine in December. My guess is they are arbitrarily selecting people, but that is just a guess.

That and the answers to the questions on the sign up page.

I use it as my primary Internet browsing machine. I'm on it at least 4 hours a day. Actual use not just sitting doing nothing.

I think those things make a big difference.

Got one the other day as well, was, and still am, entirely pumped.

I LOVE the look of the notebook ... no brandings etc etc and it's been said numerous times. But another mention couldn't hurt.

Keyboard shortcuts becoming second nature already, found myself even going for them (and stabbing at the caps lock key at my desktop in hopes of popping a new tab with the 'search' button) at the desktop.

Still getting it all set up, feel like I've been on this thing nonstop since it came.

Am thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Lookie at what i got from google, yet i dont have a CR-48...?

"Earlier this morning, you may have received a large number of emails from chrome-notebook-pilot-users@googlegroups.com regarding the Chrome notebook Pilot program user forum. We apologize for this inconvenience, and you will not receive any more messages from this address. Instructions for deleting these messages are at the end of this email.

What happened? We planned to launch our Chrome Notebook Pilot forum next week to all users who had been selected for the Pilot program. Last night, around midnight Pacific time, a user discovered this forum and posted a message. Unfortunately, we had misconfigured this forum to email every post to every member. Thus, the first post started an avalanche of responses. Some messages were unsubscribe requests, others were thoughtful comments or questions, but all of them were emailed to every user. We have since deleted this group.

We’ve created a brand new user forum, which you can sign up for here:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/chrome-notebook-pilot

Rest assured: you will not be added to this forum unless you sign up using the link above.

The goal of the forum is to provide a centralized place for Pilot users to share their Chrome notebook experiences and tips. In addition, with a centralized forum, our team can more effectively respond to your questions and feedback.

If you are receiving this email and have not yet received a Cr-48, you should be hearing from us soon. Again, our apologies for the flood of emails, and we hope you will join us at the new forum.

Im hoping it didnt get stolen, or UPS sent it back because i wasnt home :(

Im excited, but for some reason i dont think ill get one.

You can still sign up. Just Google cr-48 PILOT and you should be directed to the right page. I don't know if the new sign-ups will be considered, but Google is still accepting new applications. Good luck.

I was able to sign up recently but no email or anything so I highly doubt I'll be getting it.

Just received...

New to the forum, but have a feeling will be visiting regularly. I signed up for the Pilot program appx 2-3 weeks ago, and just received my CR48 yesterday, was actually surprised since had not heard anything via email.

I applied about a month ago maybe, when the applications were open again and received mine in the mail yesterday :D

I applied back in December when they were first announced but did not get one. I'm glad I didn't though since the new batch comes with some really cool stickers that you can put on the back of the Cr-48. Although the matte is sooooooo good looking already so I don't know if I'll be putting them on :]

I live in Southern California btw and it shipped from Louisville, Kentucky where the previous batch was shipped from.

Will people that recently (and I mean RECENTLY) signed up have a chance to get one? When did they announce the new batch were getting stickers?
