Just got an early upgrade authorized

I'm not eligible for my annual upgrade until May 12th, but I just talked VZW in to giving me an early upgrade at the 2 year price! The Rep is calling me tomorrow at 11AM to place my order.

I was going to wait and see what comes along later because my Droid X is working great, but the unlimited 4G data plan at $29 is what sealed the deal for me.

I'm really excited!

How did you manage this?

My early upgrade is next Thursday, and they wouldn't let me do it until then!

I'm gonna try to call customer service and go through them though..

How did you get them authorized it early my upgrade isn't until June and I want the phone this week or next week!

I just called and told them I damaged my phone, it still worked but was a little quirky, and that I really wanted the new phone coming out tomorrow. He tried and couldn't do it, then asked if I would hold while he "checked his other resources". He came back and said that his manager authorized it no problem because they appreciate my business.

It may be worth noting my plan is $200/month after a 20% corporate discount. I don't know if that makes a difference or not...

I'm gonna try to get my second line eligible tomorrow in-store. It's not eligible until 7/27. I'm actually seeing if I can make them laugh so loud the whole store hears. Cause that's just how I roll.

I just got the call back from the VZW rep, and got my order placed. I will have the Thunderbolt in hand tomorrow morning as soon as the FedEx guy shows up.

I'm stoked.

Congrats. I'm not eligible for upgrade until July 6th and have made countless calls to VZW asking if they can move it up for me...tried in-store too...they won't budge. Waaaaah! :'(

Yeah, my early upgrade is next Thursday. I've gone in-store, and even called this morning and they can't do it.

And unless I heard wrong, they said my early upgrade is only for online.. so I can't do it in-store? Weird.
