I'm not so sure now about BB Hub. I have it installed, but it doesn't update when you open the app and there's no notification apparent (via icon) showing any new emails or text messages. I'm liking MS Outlook and Google calendar, but unfortunately, I can't get text or instagram notifications.

I'm personally not paying BB .99/mth for an app that doesn't meet my needs. Chen sure is obsessed with a recurring revenue model.

I also kinda like the standard email app that came on my device. I think it's a Verizon email app.

Hub works fine on Blackberry androids weird should be the same

Long time Blackberry user here too - just to add that the Samsung detachable keyboard case is SUPERB. If you're used to and missing a BlackBerry physical keyboard I thoroughly recommend it, and honestly find it a better typing experience than most of the BlackBerry devices I owned.

I'm also a former BlackBerry addicted. Still missing but life goes on. For some reason I'm not able to install the hub on my S7. Gives me always an error. Any clues?

I've found the same thing, and wonder if it's because I'm using an Exynos S7 (it just shows as unavailable in the Play store)? To be honest, I probably wouldn't use the hub as it wouldn't work easily with Knox (so paradoxically would reduce security) but it's a mystery I'd be interested to solve.

Blackberry keyboard, passowrd keeper and dtek app are not included. There are no indication they will be part of the suite sooner.

Password keeper is there but not Contacts yet.

Did you try to install the separate app BlackBerry Hub and Services and not just the Hub.

Not sure why...

BTW: On the Android system I've been testing 3 different email apps on my S7. I've since removed BB hub and now using the standard Verizon email app and MS Outlook, with Google Calender (which I prefer).

Hub just isn't quite the same for me on Android. A lot of it has to do with how my emails look. It also never notified me and the icon never provided an indicator if there were unread message in the hub.

My suggestion is to try a few of the email apps that are available and see which works best for you. Same for Text messages. There are many options.

One thing I'm certain of: you won't miss is the slow performance of the BB device compared to the S7. I've never seen apps download and install so fast from Playstore.

For me, I came from the Z10/Z30 and could never type a complete sentence on either for some reason. Immediately using my S7 I was very capable of typing and love that you can add different keyboards - Google, etc. Very cool.
