I searched the forums for this and did not see an answer so I am sorry if I missed it; on texts, web etc. my phone will not change from portrait to landscape no matter what I do and I am getting frustrated with it. Can anyone help me out with this? it is driving me CRAZY.

just a heads up, it only rotates to landscape on way, the headset has to b to the left, the bottom of the phone would b to the right. Doing that isn't working then yea there's something wrong...

There's also an Orientation setting in Sound & Display settings. If it is unchecked, it will not rotate.

never mind... the phone had automatic switching disabled right from verizon; we got 2 phones and my wifes changed while mine did not. different settings shipped I guess.

I would say that 9 times out of 10, when I try to go landscape, my phone will not do it. I am thinking about getting another one from Verizon today.

I've noticed that some of the applications do not switch over to landscape. I think some of them are just locked to portrait, including all the homescreens.

Coming from the Stormfail I was a little disappointed that the landscape rotation was not that sensitive, in that it just did not rotate easily. However, after dealing with the Stormfail and the slightest movement made it rotate no matter if you wanted it to or not, and usually not, this is refreshing. Plus, the keyboard in portrait is fine.

Agreed, the storm was very sensitive to rotation and I guess you get use to that. But as you said, the keyboard is "much" better in portrait on the HTC.
