It's actually a little raised with a nice finish. I don't think it will wear off.

I don't think it's really aluminum. It's plastic so there's not much difference though it feels a little grippier and looks nicer.

It's not paint it has a textured reflective finish. Hard to explain but it doesn't look like it can scratch off.
