Just got Pie: Go OneUI stock or stick with Nova?

Just updated my unlocked s9+ to pie last night and am really enjoying it. No goofiness with apps or app settings, got system dark mode running after I uninstalled a theme, and the everything seems snappier overall. New rounded corners are really nice too and feel like a nice freshening of the main UI elements. So far, zero complaints.

But I had Nova Prime installed prior to the update and of course it stayed. Am I missing something wonderful by keeping Nova as the launcher? I can't imagine the phone being any more responsive.

I like my icon pack, I like my nav bar on the bottom, I like being able to swipe up from the bottom to get my app drawer (or whatever else I set it to do), all stuff that I can keep or change with Nova. Of course I can back up my Nova settings and just uninstall it to see how OneUI compares...but I thought I would ask here first. Anyone who has done both please weigh in. Thanks!

I used Action Launcher before the update. I an now using the stock launcher. The only thing I miss is the widget I used to have on the side panel. I am getting used to getting by using the app edge more, I just wish that the edge bar had a widget one where I could put 2 widgets for quick use from anywhere.

Update... Just installed widget edge for the edge panel and it seems to work well. I added 3 widgets to it.

Any add on app uses more resources. If you are happy with native launcher then stay with it...

I have the S9+ and have Nova Prime. Been using Nova for years on my old S5. I also like the One UI and have been switching back and forth between the two. My opinion is that Nova gives me more features and options to use with Pie. With Nova I like changing my icon packs and I have many. I feel that the icons for the One UI don't have enough diversity in their styles. One of my widgets won't load with the stock launcher but does work with Nova. I love the infinite scroll with Nova.

As much as I like One UI...I find Nova gives me more in customizations. It's great to have choices!
