Just got the G3 :)

Snap dragon battery guru is itself a battery drain and keeps the phone awake more than it should, for what it does and I have used it on another device as well as my G3 and I uninstalled it on my G3 because it simply just hogs the memory and causes the battery to drain.

Settings, general, apps - look at what is running that you aren't using and stop it. Try and uninstall or disable (if it can't be uninstalled) anything that you don't want. In general, if it's not something that's running you probably don't need to worry about it though.

Other then that you would have to root the phone in order to really remove everything.

I am using a macbook, how do I root the phone with a mac? LOL. What happens when you root? What voids the warranty? I'm on the next program with AT&T, so in 18months if I decide to upgrade? Can i still if I root the phone?

Hey guys I just got the g3 and I'm super excited about it..
I've been tweaking with it today, but I realized that the battery was so little..

Is there anyways to make the battery life longer? settings?

Please help

Turn WiFi off when not connected. Seemed to help me. Set the screen to auto and about 40%.

I disable some of the at&t bloatware like mobile tv, smart WiFi, navigation thing etc. And I set my brightness to 40% to 50% all the time. Anything beyond that is too bright for me.

You can't remove all. But remove what you can and disable everything else. Turn off LGs smart widget too. Huge battery hog.

Try rooting and installing nobloat (free) no reason to buy it for this purpose. And delete them good thing is that you can backup your apps you delete if you want to go back ;)

I have not had that experience.
Works great for me.
