I was wondering this myself. My brother bought this a few days ago. told him that I would root for wifi tethering.

I can tell you its almost identical to the optimus q and the optimus slider. Your gonna need to use the esttem root. Its the easiest thing your gonna fined one click and done. Then recovery use the one for the lg l55c. You should find all of these within the forums on this site.
