Just got the Photon -- here are some issues I have found

My 1st impression are:
- Good fast phone coming from Palm Pre minus
- Bunch of apps
- Kick stand is good but the USB port and kickstand should have been on opposite ends so u can still have it in portrait view and charge at the same time
- Bluetooth is little off on my old phone when i switched to Youtube videos Pandora would automatically pause but here i have to manually pause it.

Yup, the kickstand thing really bugs me.

Did you mean landscape? Because the USB port doesn't interfere with me putting my phone in portrait mode. Although, when I do stand it up in portrait mode, the rest of the phone itself stays in landscape mode.

If you meant landscape, then just turn the phone over. My kickstand will hold my phone up and let me charge it at the same time.

Yeah. I agree w/bluetooth not being as solid as on the Pre. My issue is that when I get into my car, there doesn't seem to be anyway to have it automatically connect with my car's BT receiver. It's paired but not connected. I have to manually connect it every time. Whereas my Pre just always connected as soon as I turned the car on.

Of course it could be related to my car's BT receiver, too. I'm using an Blackberry Stereo Gateway in the car. Worked great on the Pre. Have to manually connect on the Photon.

Coming from Palm (NOT hp, thank goodness!) Pre minus: only real problems for me have been the lack of freetehter for wifi without rooting the phone and the battery life, although if you follow milomindbender's Tips you can greatly increase battery life. I'm still getting a 10% drain per hour, but i hope it will improve over multiple discharges.

If your screen isn't responding even after a factory reset, take it back! That is *not* how any touch smartphone should behave.

Also, if you have a screen protector, make sure it isn't some weird, super-thick off-brand job. That's the only non-hardware reason I can think of for the behavior you describe.

Found out sprint id app was doing it.I downloaded a sprint id pack did not go well. After another factory reset and only installing apps phone seems to work like a charm. But was ready to return it.
