so ive decided since sprint will not, or hasn't cured the problem for me, and many others, i decided to do some trials with my phone. One day kept my service on 4G all day to see just how my phone reacts with mobile signal. lets just say either it was nothing or barely anything. today i put it on 3G service. my mobile signal was great, green all the way across, till i set my phone down. while trying to make a call with the 3G signal, the voice was garbled and alien sounding on the other end, and when the other person heard my voice. I wish i could say i could even make a phone call while i had it on 4G other wise id would mentioned it. then i set it on automatic...just the same as my 4G service. Sprint has told me that the tower i use most (there are 3 towers near me) and some how i use the one that is furthest away and most used by everyone else (does that make any sense?) i have since emailed them, called them, and left a long message as i have on here, and have not heard a word back from them. considering they say they have one of the best (ha!) wireless services in the states, i have told them ill be mailed back the phone and everything that came with it and ill be canceling my service. and that i WONT be paying the fee for early termination since their service was just the just that, there was no service at all. and if they were to try and make me pay, i have proof from my coworkers and their phones of all types with the Sprint logo, that their service is for a better word, lacking. I will be posting what they tell me when they finally get around to it, which will probably be months from now.

I will admit, I am losing my patience with Sprint too. Been entertaining options on who to go to. I just test ran TMo, and they are a no go. No cell signal (-115 dbm) at my house, and Sprint has faster data speeds.

Well if you are returning it within the first 30 days you good to go with only having to pay the service time used and maybe a restocking fee but no ETF fee. If you waited to long to decide to return it then contract law is cut and dry about this and a refuse to pay will effect your credit no matter what the service quality was. I do wish you luck and hope they work with you to find a fair solution.

the lack of customer service as we all know is so lacking with sprint. i changed to them from verizon cause i was paying $40 dollars more a month for only 2GB of data, and couldn't get a discount through my company. i had first got the HTC one...as i was told through friends of mine HTC antenna was pretty good, it wasn't after a week having it i traded it back in for the Note 3 as i had a S3 through verizon. it seemed to work for a day, then after that started to drop calls and if i did make a phone call it was garbled. all the excuses they gave seemed to be from techs who just looked at a manual and had no idea what they were talking about. and the fact that they DO come out with a tri band phone only goes to show just how crappy this phone is on their service

sprints data here in Longview is horrible...4G is everyone elses 3G...i got on speed test around 3 or 4

also anyone have their phone randomly update the prl and profile on its own, its been doing that lately as well?

No, but I have had to toggle airplane mode to help the change from 3G to 4G.

I left Sprint after getting tired of the promises over and over. Been with T-Mobile for 7 months or so.. Couldn't be happier.

I get service all around Jacksonville but at my house it's the same as you.. Pretty much dead signal unless I drive 2 minutes down the road. I deal with this since I have a T-Mobile branded phone and it has wifi calling so.. I hop on my wifi and use it for calls and texts without an issue at my house. Anywhere else.. No issues.

And that is a very good point, and actually, not the entire reason I am choosing not to shift to Tmo. I work in a larger metropolitan area and my data speeds were actually worse than Sprint's (Not by much). When I realized my cell signal was bad I was already thinking like you suggested about wifi calling. It was the equivalent signal at work that was more the deciding factor.

Ah yeah understandable. My work was crap for Sprint.. Couldn't take it anymore so went to T-Mobile and get great speeds here.. Same as you though.. Need that speed at work :).

I been with sprint for 13 years and would never switch.. Last summer when they lit up lte in my area I was very happy and it just improved everyday since.. Yes it helped I live in the market where they first lit up,, Boston market.. They may not be as wide Spread as Verizon yet but even their customer service has been outstanding for me for over a dozen years... Got to go where your going to get the best signel,, as far as customer service goes you show me any carrier and I will show you many complaints about customer service. Some people just have bad experiences with any carrier for what ever reason.

THE BEAST,,NOTE 3. SIZE IS EVERYTHING!!!

I was fine when on AT&T.. They just started throttling unlimited data so I left soley on that reason... Sprint was okay for awhile then got worse. We got LTE in Jacksonville but after months of waiting for it to hit my work.. And still only seeing it in the same few spots.. I dropped them and tried T-Mobile. Now I got the coverage and data speeds so it's a win win for me.

But as always carriers are highly dependent on area.. For you Sprint is great so.. Keep using em. For others it is crap so they want to leave.. The same can be said for any carrier (including T-Mobile of course).. Since carriers are highly dependent on your area.

so an update on what i was told by both sprint and samsung. first off samsung understands there is a problem with the note 3, and that they are working on a fix, but they said their months from putting the fix out. so they told me that i should take my phone in and get one that wasnt put out during the first wave (which you can find behind the battery. mine was made in 13/9) so if you have a phone with this date you might have one of the buggy ones. Sprint has told me that it to is working on a fix for the phone, but again, months away for it. ill be going in tomorrow and getting a newer phone and ill keep this updated with what happens. as anyone who has paid $700 upfront for a phone that doesn't make a call, i was very upset. as for sprint, they said they will be giving me half of my bill over the time ive had the phone. but ive told them that if this phone doesn't work, ill be coming back and that they will give me another phone at no cost. they said they weren't sure they were able to do that, so i told them if they weren't then i should be refunded the $700 back since the phone, which it still is, doesn't make a phone call and that they are not backing that they can give a reliable service.

We have been told since last August by Sprint that "networks were being ungraded" nationwide. Should be done by end of year blah blah. There is about a mile on my way to work that I cannot get a signal. I drive 15 minutes to work and we have sprint towers all over my area. We have been with Sprint since Jan 2000 and never had any issues until August and the service went to crap. We just got the Note 3 in December and still have some service issues in certain areas. Was in Ocala last week and could not get a text to send, had to keep trying over and over before it would.
