Just how responsive is it?

I'm just curious as to how the newer Nexus 7 handles android as the last Nexus device I had was the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I want to get a tablet that is fast, preferably the fastest of them all. From what I can gather from videos and such is that the Nexus 7 seems fast and responsive, but I want you all to give your input. Thank you.

I've had the 2013 Nexus 7 and its quite fast. There was zero lag. If performance is what you want the 2013 Nexus 7 has it. Cheers!

It's my first Nexus and my first tablet but not my first Android and I love it. Snappy quick, gorgeous screens, decent(for me) camera, and I really appreciate its wireless charging.
