Hello, my name is Shane and I'm a recovering Blackberry Storm user.
I got a text message from Best Buy Mobile yesterday saying that I'm eligible for my phone upgrade, which was weird because I knew I had to wait until February. I went into Best Buy because I knew that as soon as possible I would switch over to Android. Well, I had been researching for a while and decided that I would going with the Droid X over the Incredible. They did an upgrade check and said that I wasn't eligible until- you guessed it, February and there was nothing they could do. I went to VZW online and this was confirmed, but I went through the links anyway and it totally let me upgrade to the Droid X!!! I have no idea why, and I even called Verizon and they confirmed that my order was processed. So, I've got my first Android phone coming to me about six months early! I've had the BB Storm since it's release in November, 2008...Actually I've had five since then due to hardware issues, mostly.
Anyway, this being my first post on AndroidCentral, I wanted to say, "Hi" and share my story. I can't wait till my phone comes in!
