first thanks for reading this and helping me out

I want to flash the evolvedrom r3charged... i have already rooted my phone about three weeks ago so that is not the issue..

i want to do it properly, with the best possible results so i just want to make sure that i've got all my ducks in a row before i start this..

i downloaded the rom using the first link from this post:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ht...charged-rc1-just-another-s-9.html#post1206850

next i will use rom manager pro to flash the amon-ra recovery.
once that is done, i follow the instructions posted here:
xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM][8.31.11][OC-Daemon] EVOlvedROM r3chargeD RLS1ish "Just Another Sense 3.0 Port"

i will not be doing the sdcard partition..
however, it mentions vr superwipe... is that something that is recommended for me to use?
what about v6 supercharger? something that i can use/should use?

once the rom is flashed.. do i need to change the kernal or is the freedom kernal automatically flashed with the rom? any need to update the freedom kernal?

how do i properly set up setcpu?

maybe someone can show me links to some excellent tutorials on youtube?

i have titaniumbackup... can i just use that to restore my apps.. any special settings i need to use to avoid system problems? (ie not backing up system apps, or whatever..)

thanks for all the help!

No. I believe the kernel will come with it. As far as clocking, at home I'll set the minimum setting at 790 and Max at 1113.

The kernal comes with the rom, I would suggest partitioning you SD card its very simple using cwm or RA recovery. Just make sure you're on the latest version of cwm if you were to go that route....Just encase you don't know, once you switch from cwm to RA within rom manager pro you will no longer be able to use ROM MANAGER FEATURES!!!! When you make the switch to RA make sure you backup because you will not be able to use your previous backups within rom manager.

If you do decide to partition sd card- How to Partition Your SDCARD - YouTube

if i do partition the card.. how big should i make the partition? i've got a 8gb card

how does that work with installing the rom on the partition? or what exactly is the partition for?

he posted a new version of his rom late last night and the whole page with instructions is completely different now.. and looking thru the thread on xda some people are having problems with his new version.. i still want to use the version i downloaded last night before he updated it.

I would stick with the rom you downloaded last night and wait for the next update or wait to see if there are patches for the problems. With a 8GB card I would go with 1024 ext3, swap 32 or 64mb no need for any higher......Make sure you back up all the contents of the sd card to you computer or a flash drive before you partition. just make sure its backed up! After you're backed up you can format the card if you wish(I would if you never have formatted the card) then go ahead and partition.......Now partitioning allows you to store your apps on the ext3 partition of your sd card witch gives you more internal memory(CAN AND WILL SPEED YOUR PHONE UP)-------Installing a rom stays the same and you can still use the version you downloaded last night, I'm running it and I love it. Use titanium back up but only back up your apps from the market(apps that you have installed) if you back up the system apps problems start popping up. If you have any problems or have any specific questions pm me.....

alright so i believe i'm ready to do this now lol... for some reason android just makes me nervous ha.. (i did the blackberry os beta stuff and webos homebrew no problem, but i'm just very hesitant with android..)

here is what i plan to do need to do:
1. make sure all my setting and everything are how i want them
2. do a full nandroid backup
3. do a titanium backup
4. copy my sdcard to my computer
5. format the sdcard
6. partition the sdcard
7. wipe system and dalvik (is there anything else i wipe besides these two things? is one wipe of each sufficient?)
8. place the zip file of the rom on the root of the sd (or does this step come before the wiping?)
9. boot into recovery and flash
10. let phone reboot fully
11. restart phone
12. once phone has fully booted again do a tb restore
13. check all my settings, sync all my accounts (gmail etc etc)
14. do a nandorid once everything is set up and running correctly..

15. then after a couple days i'll install setcpu and mess with that.

can someone just look at that list i made and make sure its all good?

thanks again to this great community for helping me with this room flashing stuff!

You can go ahead and use titanium before your nandroid backup if you want and that way it will be in your backup and be there if you have to restore.....Wipe data/system, Cache, Dalvik Cache, Wipe all three times to be safe(Dalvik is under advanced) You can also place the rom onto the sd card when you are done partitioning the sd card(so before wiping) and once you flash and reboot you don't have to reboot again even though sometime I have found that if there is a little lag on the first boot a full reboot can do the trick....Once you start messing with set cpu if the freedom kernal that comes with the rom isn't to your liking then you can try Golden Monkey as well with this rom and there are a few easy ways of flashing a kernall as well but we will get to that when it comes haha. I think you will like this rom tons of internal memory and fast for a 3.0 sense rom. It will be a big refreshment coming from sense 1.0 so have fun and feel free to ask more questions....
