Just noticed my home button is a little loose

Mine wiggles so bad that it actually gets stuck depressed sometimes as if it slides over when pressed down. Same as you all I don't want to customize everything again so am hesitant to return

Was about to exchange mine until i went into a 2 tmobile stores and noticed the workers who had the note 3 and there working display models were doing the same thing so i said screw it im not gonna exchange mine for the 3rd time.

Strange too see such an important button is wiggling away. I have to keep adjusting it back. I am going to wait a bit and see how worst it gets before getting a replacement. A friend of mine has gone through 3 devices already and after a few hours or day or two it starts happening again. So what guarantee will we have if we even change the device it won't happen on exchanged devices. Samsung should issue s statement on this issue. It's a pretty serious manufacturing defect. What the hell. Just when we thought the device was perfect!!

Yes seems like a normal problem. No use exhanging it :(

Exactly im just happy about everything else with the phone its one amazing device and it would be pointless to do another exchange and get the same issue plus i have insurance and jump so im sure by 6 months from now the s5 will be out and i can just give tmobile the note 3 back and pickup the s5.

My first note 3 home button was loose and uncensored. But was defective any way. My second note 3 has a perfectly centered button that hardly moves. This is fairly common with iPhone too. Things that are meant to move are going to move. The button wiggling never bothers me to be honest.

Mine is fine which is good because I am picky.

Mine's a little wiggly. Noticed it about an hour after picking it up. My dad's S3 is rock solid. It really annoyed me at first, but after using it for a little over 24 hours I realized I had forgotten all about it. My guess is that whatever stock they have at Best Buy probably has the same issue and I won't be able to replace until another shipment comes in. And by that point I'm past the exchange/return window. While loose, it doesn't appear to be so much so that it's wiggling on its own or anything. I'm keeping it.

I honestly think it's a design intent, I don't think it will be popped out of its holder.

So, I do not care about it being s bit loose.

Thanks for posting this. Someone else mentioned that the button could be a 'floating' design where it has a lip around it below the bezel surface to hold it in, and is 'floating' or spring loaded above a sensor below it. I would think that as long as it can't fall out, and assuming that the lateral motion can't damage the button sensor, that it is only an aesthetics issue?? I don't have one yet, but I'm not terribly concerned after watching the video - though it would be nice if the tolerance was tighter

Here is what we mean with the home key being loose or wiggly and make sure to watch it in hd as u can see the home key can be crooked it from left to right=

This seems to be a problem if others are saying their notes dont and other do... I didnt notice that my home key was not even until I read the forums and many of you may not notice either if you move the bottom with your nail many will move. If you look at your note 3 carefully it may be uneven. I will be taking mine back to bestbuy today because later down the line should this become an issue its better to fix it now when you can get a brand new note 3.

I'm pretty sure virtually all note 3's have this issue. The users reporting theirs is fine is due to subjectivity and cognitive dissonance. Many people, including myself, didn't even notice the home button's issues until it was brought up. Even then, I had to really look closely and move it. Indeed, mine is the same. I swung by 3 different stores, all note 3's on display had the same issue. Checked out my coworker's, same issue.

I now firmly believe that every unit is like this. I also believe that those claiming it's not is because they don't look closely enough or don't realize it. You can scour the web and see so many people who got bothered by the button and swapped their phones 3-4x, all had the same issue.

If it didn't bother you before you read these articles, don't let it bother you now. I know it's a $700 device, and I know it sucks to have this kind of quality control issue, but if you want a note 3 today, have to live with it.
