Just Ordered an S10

Hi Guy's

Jut ordered an S10 from Clove, something to play with during isolation lockdown and I need a dual SIM device. Any tips or tricks?

That's so exciting! Welcome to the world of Samsung and the S10! Which color and storage size did you get?! What a great way to spend your isolation!

I'll post a few random thoughts, in no particular order.

Zedge is a really great free app that will give you free wallpapers, ringtones, notification sounds, and icon packs. I highly recommend it!

Samsung's Theme Store also has a *ton* of free themes, icon packs, and wallpapers. Even AOD themes. Check it out.

The Edge screen is something very useful that I kind of shrugged off upon deciding to buy the phone - I mean, I thought it'd be cool but I didn't think I'd use it that much - but it's SO handy. You can put your favourite apps there and even swipe again to see your favourite contacts. Just add them in on your Edge screen/panel settings.

Also, the Edge screen will light up when you get notifications. I only have text messages set to do this but you can select multiple apps for this function. What I just found out a few days ago is that you can customize how your Edge screen lights up - it can be a glow, bubbles, rainbow, etc. It's very awesome, especially if you're in a dark room/area and are still waiting on notifications.

The camera has a ton of settings. Root through them all to see what there is. You can even toggle the settings so the camera can show you were to aim to get the "Best Shot." Turn on your Scene Optimizer (lower right corner) so your camera can identify what you're photographing and therefore can assist with processing said pictures.

I love Edge Lighting as well. It's one of the features I love that I never had prior to getting my S10+, which is my first Samsung phone.

designs so super excited, love the idea of Edge Lighting and will use best shot for sure. I ordered the 128GB Prism Green EU model so I can run a dual SIM, personal and work. I will post pictures when it arrives.

Forest, I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures of your new S10, since I've never seen the green one. That sounds like it will be a cool colour. I really like One UI. I hated TouchWiz so much that I never considered Samsung in the past, but One UI is excellent to me.

Wow, Prism Green! I bet that will look a bit like the colour of an emerald; especially in natural lighting conditions!

You will love Edge Lighting! I actually just tweaked it a bit last night! I'm often changing the layout of my phones and so getting to choose what kind of light will emit from my phone is pretty addictive!

Love the green. It's truly a fantastic device. The camera leaves me wanting at times, then other times it impresses. One UI is also kinda great. I go back and forth between it and Nova all the time just to keep things fresh. The display is top-notch and, also, you don't have to miss the headphone jack!

I use my S10+ as a dual sim phone and it is great for that. Be aware that RCS chat messaging only works with Sim 1 on both the default Samsung messaging and Google Messages. But other than that it works great.

I love good lock app. You can customise your quick settings shade, lock screen, create your own themes using theme park within Good Lock.

There is a guy on YouTube called Sakitech. He does videos with all the features of Samsung devices. I will link to his video on the S10. It has tips and tricks and how to use features. He has videos for most flagship Samsung models.

These are a few of his main video tutorials. They are great to watch.

I only got my phone in late January and I am in love with it. I can hardly put it down. I just love to use it.

I am currently using my own theme from theme park. It themes your quick settings shade, your keyboard, calculator, phone dialler, messages app and more.

I am using a custom icon pack from the Galaxy Store. One thing I learned is that you can only use the icons from Galaxy Store with OneUI but there are some free ones. They normally theme the Samsung apps and some have masks for other apps. But I like some of them. Here are some screenshots for you.
