After having a Z Fold2 since launch and using a OnePlus 11 the last few months I decided to give the OnePlus Open a try, hope it's as good as the reviews make it out to be!

It’s great!! I returned my green one and knew I was going to regret it so I purchased a black one that arrives on Monday. I’m a hot mess LOL. The front display is amazing and a great size, the multitasking is so cool and the battery life was amazing.

In the US here, I eagerly awaited every Fold that Samsung put out, but none seemed a good enough upgrade from the 2. Then the Pixel Fold came out, looked interesting, but it was a pass too. Bought the OP 11 just to cure the itch for a new phone, it's a great phone, then the Open came out and while I put it off a month, I had to finally order one!

Actually I did the same thing, which is why I haven't posted about it on here. My black one doesn't arrive for another two weeks though.

Yes and it has an estimated date of the 11th but hopefully it doesn't take that long.

Yes, held up fine, and it's still fine, just had the itch for something new! The Fold2 will be my backup phone now.

Well, here it is! The photo doesn't do it justice. The frosted green has a shimmering effect, depending on the angle of viewing. Unfortunately, there's no sunshine today to bring out the effect. It's almost too pretty to put a case on it. But I know if I don't, it'll be an accident waiting to happen.

Speaking of cases, I learned something that I've never seen mentioned in print reviews or videos. That is, any color case (other than clear) can be used on either color Open without clashing. The only non-glass part of the phone that's visible with a case on is the button cutouts along the edge. The black model has a black edge and the green has a silver edge. I was thinking originally that I'd be limited to a green or black case.

The large camera cutout isn't a problem at all. Since it's centered, rocking action when typing on a flat surface in the 'open' state is minimal, and my index finger just naturally rests at the 4:00 o'clock position, thus providing a solid feeling when holding in either the open or closed state.

I'm setting it up now with Nova, though I'm keeping Niagara on my Razr+.
