Well, here it is! The photo doesn't do it justice. The frosted green has a shimmering effect, depending on the angle of viewing. Unfortunately, there's no sunshine today to bring out the effect. It's almost too pretty to put a case on it. But I know if I don't, it'll be an accident waiting to happen.

Speaking of cases, I learned something that I've never seen mentioned in print reviews or videos. That is, any color case (other than clear) can be used on either color Open without clashing. The only non-glass part of the phone that's visible with a case on is the button cutouts along the edge. The black model has a black edge and the green has a silver edge. I was thinking originally that I'd be limited to a green or black case.

The large camera cutout isn't a problem at all. Since it's centered, rocking action when typing on a flat surface in the 'open' state is minimal, and my index finger just naturally rests at the 4:00 o'clock position, thus providing a solid feeling when holding in either the open or closed state.

I'm setting it up now with Nova, though I'm keeping Niagara on my Razr+.

Now I know why I thought the edge and hinge spine were green. It shows that way on the OnePlus website! There must have been two variants and they never publicized it.

I guess I worded that poorly. Yes, there is just the black and green versions. But there appear to be two (undocumented) versions of the green - one with a matching green surround, and one with silver. I have the green/silver variant, contrary to what's shown on the OnePlus website.

I see what you're saying.. I believe the ones I saw in the US did not have that silver...
