Went out at lunch yesterday and got a Mate 9. So far, really like it. Coming from Nexus 6P so this phone, comparatively, has a lot of bells and whistles - like all the camera modes for example. I've done some searches for tips and tricks and read the thread in this forum but am wondering if anyone knows of any sort of walkthrough of some sort to go through some of the features?

You won't regret your purchase, I came from a Nexus 6P also and love my Mate 9

I is great. The screen is crisp and clear
It is? That's good to hear. I really thought Huawei would have put a quad resolution in the Mate at the 599 price point. Especially with the size of the screen. I bet the battery life is great then.

How's the 1080p resolution? That's my only drawback as I too had the Nexus 6p.
My opinion that this screen is one of the nicest out there regardless of the resolution. It's super bright and lovely even compared to AMOLED. I'm shocked at how punchy the colors and deep the blacks are.

I've had a couple of phones that I thought had better screens.

We can nitpick screens on smartphones all day long.
There ain't anything wrong with the Mate 9's screen presentation as far as I'm concerned.

What good is a sooper dooper smartphone screen if the battery dies with 6-8 hour of use.
The Mate 9 is an excellent balance of hardware and features.

For the eleventh time:
I really dig my Mate 9...best money I've ever spent on technology.

Yeah, I also had concerns about the screen - no issues at all. One big mistake I made is I was looking at one at a Best Buy. I didn't realize the Mate had different screen resolutions and the display model was set for 'largest' which makes everything really big. Once I realized you can adjust that and the font size, I was much happier. And I don't think it gets as much credit as it should for its bezels. They aren't Samsung small, but way smaller than the 6P. Basically phone is same size as 6P with a bigger screen by .2 inches.

I use 520 dpi as it make the big screen much better, the Mate 9 is the best phone i ever bought, it killed itching for upgrading to a better device, because atm there is no better device

Go to developer options in the settings menu.

In order to activate it, go to about phone, 6 taps on the build number till you see it's activated.

In the Developer options page, scroll down till you see smallest width, change it from 432 to 520 or whatever you find suitable.

Keep in mind, that some apps does not behave well with that.
